What is the WNPS list serve?

Want to get involved with discussions about native plants and related issues with other WNPS members? Since the spring of 1996, the list serve has offered announcements, news, and discussions relevant to native flora and WNPS goals, projects and members. Some recent items include:

Favorite spots for wildflower viewing
Native plants for home gardens
Proposed changes in environmental laws
Endangered species concerns
Chapter meetings and plant sales
Volunteer and other fun opportunities

How does the list serve operate?

Current members of WNPS with e-mail are invited to sign up. The server facilitates the sending of alerts, events, tips and thoughts to other interested members. The e-mail list is exclusively for WNPS use and is neither released to nor accessed by persons or organizations outside of the enrolled membership. The site is screened for inappropriate content by the list manager. For example, self-promotion of professional services is not welcome.

How do I sign up?

E-mail wnps@wnps.org and ask administrator Catherine Hovanic to add you to the list. Your request will be forwarded to the list manager who will add your e-mail address to the list. You’ll receive a confirmation notice along with instructions for participating and un-subscribing.

CPS List Serve

For Central Puget Sound events, meetings, work parties and plant sales, members may enroll in the separate CPS list serve. Please note that the purpose of the CPS list serve is for announcements only, not discussions.

To sign up, e-mail majordomo@tardigrade.net leaving the header completely blank but in the message body write “Subscribe wnps-centralchapter-news”.
